We think that if you're going to use cookies, you should disclose their use (like Yahoo and others do). This site has and undisclosed use of cookies, which we think is a bad idea in a privacy-sensitive world. This site gives you the option of the Shockwave or non-Shockwave options. We think a better approach would be to avoid Shockwave and splash pages while conveying the same snappy feel. It will be harder to design this way for some, just as radio advertisements are more difficult to create because you don't get to use visual media. But if we were creating a television ad, we'd hire someone with radio experience. We like the fact that this site describes clearly its singular purpose: recruiting. But if we had designed this site, we might have done it the other way around. Have a single Shockwave-free home page and put the animated content inside. The recruiting section tells a good story, but the best recruiting sites do it much better.
