Welcome to our review of the Proskauer Rose LLP Web Site! The splash page contains 72.9 Kbytes of graphics, all of which did not load before the home page automatically loaded. The home page uses a book theme, uses old server-side imagemap technology, and includes the scrolling text cliche. Mouse-over graphics provide some feedback on the home page, but not as much as a client-side imagemap. Attorney profiles use both resume and narrative styles and are supplemented nicely by links to Martindale-Hubbell Lawyer Profile pages. Under "Publications" are client alerts, newsletters, white papers, and articles. Newsletters covered a handful of topics including health law and employment law. We'd eliminate the list of links in the "Library of Internet Resources" in favor of one link to FindLaw. The search engine was hidden under "Appendix," and it was unclear to us how to return to the home page. And search engine output didn't include abstract information about each found page, and the lack of bookmark-friendly titles made it difficult to figure out what exactly had been found. This is a good example of an over-engineered site that concentrates too much on form and not enough on content.
