I like Pachelbel's Canon - really. It played at my wedding. That said, I don't think it really belongs as background music on a law firm Web site, but that's just my opinion. Once I got over the music, I really, really liked this site. Emphasis on really, because the firm's subtitle for the site is "Really Good Lawyers - Denver, CO." So they don't take themselves too seriously. And projecting an image of a firm is an important first step to establishing a compelling reason for prospective clients to stick around and learn more. Thanks to this unusual approach, we're fairly certain that they WILL stick around, and that's more than you can say for many other sites. The content is good, though it could be updated more often. Putting everything on the home page is a good touch. Frequent visitors very quickly know if anything has been updated. The graphics are well done, suggesting the assistance of a professional designer. Overall, you'll leave with a good impression of who this firm is and what they do. And to quote from the Web site (this should be required reading for any Web designer), "We got rid of the fun-at-first-but-irritating-after-about-ten-seconds scrolling message which people with Netscape 2.x browsers could see at the bottom of their browsers. It was sort of like a newer version of 'blink.'" Amen.
