The "8" for content would be a "10" were it not for the fact that the newsletters on the site haven't been updated since 1996. Ordinarily, we would omit such a site - a failure to keep the site current generally indicates that the firm isn't interested in using the site as a marketing tool - but Lucash, Gesmer & Updegrove's site is a little different. The reason it's here is that the content that is here is outstanding. After all, how many law firms do you know of that were publishing newsletters about Internet law in 1995? Sadly, though their outstanding newsletter continues, it is unfortunately not present on the site. Graphics load quickly, and the home page boasts a concise explanation of what you'll find, which means you won't waste any time clicking on nonobvious section headings. Other designers should take a lesson from that.
