The home page is one of the more intriguing we've seen (and we're not just saying that because we're from Boston), but the images ought to be smaller (in file size that is). Clocking in at over 100k total, the page takes well over a minute to load over a 28.8 modem. We think that most people will give a site between 20 and 30 seconds... after that, they're probably gone. Once inside the site, the unique design of the home page is carried out throughout the site: the result is a wonderful look that is quite definitely the firm's own. After looking at countless look-alike sites, it's refreshing to see one that goes about it in a different manner. Search output on the attorney directory is great: you see the attorney name, city, and phone number. If you want the full bio, click on the name. (Since many users are looking for just a phone number, this is a slick way of getting them what they want with a minimum of effort.) The publications are nice - newsletters and client alerts are up to date, but the attorney-authored articles are not (more than a year out of date at this writing). For sections that are that out of date, we suggest removing it altogether, or subsuming the content into another section where the lack of currency is less obvious. Navigation is simple with a left frame navigation bar that incorporates a visual cue to tell you which section you're in. Overall, this site doesn't try to do too much, and succeeds in providing the information that most visitors are looking for.
