Here's an annoying feature: thanks to JavaScript, images on the home page load even when you turn graphics off. Aside from that, we were very impressed with the understated home page. Rather than hit you over the head with options, the firm presents the places you can go in small, readable buttons. The firm logo is presented nicely, but does not overwhelm the rest of the page (a surprisingly prevalent mistake on other sites). Interestingly, the site was written in Cold Fusion - a high-end authoring tool that dynamically generates Web pages on request. Unfortunately, upon our request for the Environmental practice area, we received an error. Ditto with Construction law. (Also, on a slow server, Cold Fusion can take long periods of time to process the requests.) Articles were recently written, which means the content was timely and potentially useful. Without the Cold Fusion problems, we'd be more inclined to give the site higher marks. However, we couldn't see much of the site due to errors.
