Though the "spotlight" motif on the home page is unique to law firm Web sites, we're not sure the added bandwidth (total images on the home page: 110 K) needed to display it is necessary. Doesn't anyone else think animated GIFs are like pop-up books? Several pages demonstrate poor HTML. For example, the ñGovernment Contractsî page needs some HTML editing to make the tables appear properly, and the list of attorneys has hundreds of extra carriage returns and spaces (not a big deal, until you realize that these extra characters can double or triple the total file size and slow downloading). As for the substance, there is some good information about the firmÍs practice areas. The law library staff has compiled some good reference links, though we always encourage users to stop by FindLaw first. In the "Publications" section, many good newsletters are available in PDF format, but this area does not appear to be as up-to-date as it should be. Users looking for a particular attorney better know whether that attorney is a partner or an associate, as the list of attorneys is subdivided by this classification.
