The first impression one has on visiting this New Jersey firm is that the site is very well done. The site is understated and professional. The designers used the screen real estate well. All the important links appear in the first screen, a full paragraph narrative describing the firm appears, and a color scheme (red, white and black) is established. The graphics are consistent throughout, and small visual cues always indicate where the visitor is on the site's vertical navigation bar. It is the "Legal Base" that is most impressive - a collection of more than 100 articles about each area of law in which the firm practices (we'd like to see dates on the master list, though). The "Legal Base" is searchable by keyword, and also includes a good list of starting points for various areas of law. (Users looking for comprehensive lists would still be better served by going to FindLaw.) The entire site benefits from thoughtful design, and navigation could not be easier. A graphical navbar is present on every page, and a text navbar is at the bottom of every page. This site is well thought out and is a great example of how to leverage content that the firm already has in electronic format.
