Now you know why Major League Baseball is www.majorleaguebaseball.com. Because these guys beatthemtoit.com. Many of the discrete elements of this site are well done, yet the overall feeling one has after leaving it is that there is nothing special about it. With a firm of this size (850 attorneys worldwide), there should be more content - when reviewed, the site had a dozen or so newsletters and other publications available for viewing. Nevertheless, the site is well organized, giving visitors a text-based navigation bar at the bottom of every page and consistent graphics throughout. Their "What's New" section is refreshingly up-to-date, including press releases less than two weeks old. What articles they do have are very well-written, timely (all have dates included, a surprisingly rare occurrence), and thoroughly footnoted. Strangely enough, the "Practice Area" section offers no in-depth information - it just lists the firm's practice area titles. The "Library Resources" section, though linked throughout the site, was under development and offered no substantive content. Stylistically, visitors to this site will find solid information, but it lacks defining characteristics that set it apart from its competition.
