Animated GIFs usually drive us nuts, but the one on this firm's front page clearly has a purpose: to highlight the firm's many areas of practice. Clearly the work of professionals, the front page gave us frames and non-frames options. Inside, the slick design continued, but we wish they used a client-side imagemap. The frames version got bogged down in too many frames (more than two is too many) and relative links that were mis-anchored. Large graphics slowed navigation, and page titles omitted the firm's name. The non-frames version performed better, but it took far too many clicks to get to poorly formatted and content-thin attorney profiles (whose native format appeared to be a Folio InfoBase). And we couldn't get the attorney search engine to work. Little substantive content was available.
