Year 2000 Practice Group

The Year 2000 Practice Group consists of over 25 attorneys located at our various offices who concentrate their practice in numerous areas including litigation, securities law, corporate and business law, information technology law, labor law and intellectual property law. This broad spectrum of expertise provides a comprehensive depth which can be called upon to assist our clients in avoiding, remediating or resolving problems arising from the Year 2000 Problem. Our commercial and transactional attorney members have expertise in drafting agreements and warranties to deal with Y2K-related problems and issues which may arise in various commercial transactions. Our corporate and securities law members are able to provide guidance in complying with SEC and other governmental agency disclosure requirements as well as providing Y2K due diligence expertise in mergers and acquisitions. Should problems arise, our litigation members can provide strategy and trial expertise in asserting or defending claims as well as in seeking to obtain insurance coverage for damages and expenses which arise as the result of litigation and claims. Our information technology and intellectual property attorneys can provide assistance in reviewing and drafting license agreements to protect and transfer intellectual property and dealing with the protection and transfer of technology and information.

Members of the Year 2000 Practice Group are currently providing services and legal advice to both the private and public sectors and have been called upon to share their expertise on Y2K issues at various forums and continuing legal education programs both nationally and internationally and have lectured and published widely in both broadcast and the printed media. The attorneys in the Year 2000 Practice Group are able to apply coordinated expertise to any problem which may arise related to the Year 2000 Problem.
